Celebrating the launch were offering live test of the prealpha version of the game.

The elements of the project

While in development we are currently configuring live test servers to build a better experience for the community. Many are participating in this phase of development

Recent Upgrades and
optimizations

In the early stages of planning for development since 2019 The development rig was built on a b250 tomahawk max running 16 gb ddr memory with a ryzen 9 3900x and an xfx rx580 8gb gpu by AMD which was below standard for the aim of the project so much needed upgrade to 48gb of ddr4 memory and an rtx 3060 12gb edition gpu will improve production and quality in the project.

01

Multiplayer

With a server active at all times besides scheduled maintenance players can log in to the server when loading the game to participate in server testing phase.

02

Development

The initial mission to deliver a survival horror experience designed and tailored by a gamer for gamers with innovative ideas and design in mind encouraged by the community.

03

Discord

With every feature available to grow a community and authorize its members permission into private channels we can do some interesting things to reward members, discord is an integral part of the project with its permission abilites and grouping options.

04

Solo Development

The project has been under development by one person. Handling everything from marketing, level design, character design, animations, network configuration and video editing to form a social media presence

The checklist to prepare development for a muliplayer game

Highly qualified and motivated professionals

First on the checklist was to aquire access to Epic Games github repository containing the source build of the editor.
Next was to build the engine from source which allows for network funtionality to offer mulitplayer service.

PRE ALPHA GAME

Some examples of the project taking shape over the months facing technical difficulties and many other issues with just development. Gratefully we have upgraded the rig to include rtx 3060 running on a B450 tomahawk max with a ryzen 9 and 48 B of ddr4 ram. The biggest part of testing will be to collect the data from the server to identify any issues with performance on different systems. These tests will allow us to prepare for patch updates and optimizations for running the game on lower end hardware. The choice of using Unreal Engine 4 vs Unreal engine 5 are simple as the newer version of unreal uses features which require newer hardware. Its not a service to the community if were forcing them to upgrade.
It may entirely be possible to offer both a UE4 and UE5 version and that is why testing is important. Its far more important to ensure there is a working game state where multiple clients can connect before considering the full launch of the project. Initially the plan is to deliver a windows version of the game and decide between having the game release through Epic Games or Steam or possibly both. While it would be possible for the game to reach console the development studio has to request a development kit from Microsoft and Sony respectively for the game to be available on those platforms.

Optimizing

Level optimizing can often take the longest with having to load and launch the game then move to that specific are to check the performance and adjust things accordingly.

Many upgrades

The project started as an overly ambitious project aimed at quality and detail. Just learning the engine and all of its abilities was much like its own college curiculum

SERVERS ACTIVE

We are planning for having a small group to start the testing so space is limited.
